Join us for a special two-part event featuring Dr. Anastasia Salter, Professor of English at the University of Central Florida and President of the Electronic Literature Organization. As part of the Artificial Intelligence and the Humanities series. Dr. Salter will lead a morning hands-on workshop, “Humanities AI and Distant Coding,” followed by an afternoon public lecture titled “The Author Function: Humanity (and Humanities) in the Age of AI.” Drawing on her expertise in digital culture and electronic literature, Dr. Salter will explore how the rise of AI-generated text, images, and code challenges traditional ideas of authorship, creativity, and labor. The lecture and workshop invite participants to critically examine the role of AI in the humanities and consider how scholars, educators, and creators can shape its future.
