Dr. Adney will provide an overview of his digital project, The Middle West: Histories of the American Heartland. The project focuses on the diasporic communities from the Middle East and North Africa to the American Midwest. Through the work, Dr. Adney seeks to make knowledge of these understudied communities more accessible and to serve as a digital common grounds for sharing this knowledge. This digital project receives support from Digital Scholarship Services through the Create UMKC platform. CDPH will also be offering some pastries from McLain’s! Please come and join us.
